microLine

How often do the buffer batteries have to be changed on the control system?

  • XCX system, XCX20 and MicroLine: No bufferbattrie change is necessary.
Because of a special battrie the buffering is secured for 8 months fully charged. The battrie is chargedin a 4 hour operation with supply voltage.
  • Promodul-U: At 25°C and a uninterupted buffering of 4 control units following times are garanted:
    • With a network mechine UNG115 or UNG230 : 1 year , typical life cycle 10 years
    • With network mechine: UNG24 : 1/2 year , typical life cycle: 5 Jahre
  • Promodul-F: At 25°C and a uninterupted buffering one year is garanted. The typical life cycle is 5 years.
  • Promodul-P03: Life cycle of the battrie: 3 years

After unpacking a .zwt projects a notice will appear while translating "Bibliothek xxx was changed but not compiled yet!"

  • Assumendly the .zwt project contains the userlibary and by unpacking the question about overwritting the libary with "Ja" was answered.

  • Workaround:
    • By demaning with MULTIPROG "File : Open/ unpack poject quot; open the questioned libary with: <F9> translate.
    The user libaries are
MULTIPROG 4.7 in the installationpath of MULTIPROG in the subdirectories "Libraries"
    from MULTIPROG 4.8 in path:
    \Files and settings\All Users\Dokumente\MULTIPROG\Libraries\
    • After that open the origin project

How many modules can be connected to a MCS or rather XCS20 control.

  • The operating system allows the operating up to 16 I/O modules.
  • The data given in the technical data for electronic magnetic compatibility is only garanted up to maximum of 8 modules while operating.

On the control MCS or XCX20x all LEDs are off.

  • Check 24 V voltage provision.
    If the voltage is available:
  • Turn off the voltage and dissconnect the control from the I/O modules. Dismantle filedbus plug. Turn on voltage again.
Do the LED on the MCS or XCS20 shine now?
    • If not: The XCX20x is broken.
    • If yes: Then one of the I/O module might be broken.
    • To see which module is broken:
    • * Turn off voltage.
    • * Dock each module I/O module one by one again an turn in the system. After turning on check if the RUN LED is shining.
    • If the LED does not shine anymore, then you have found the broken I/O modul.

  • After connect the fieldbus plug again.

With the progamming system MULTIPROG no access is possible to the control.

The rotary switch is in position 0,4,5 or 6. In these otay switch postions is no connection possible with MULTIPROG.
The SPS program uses the serial interface of the control unit with a own printout:
A. Use different interface of the control.
B. Set rotary wsitch of the XCS20x to position 1 and reset. Then the attempt of the SPS program will surely be interrupted. ATTENTION: In this case list previous tortary switch position. If a control unit has accidently been turned on by rotary position 3 „COLD" or RESET activated, then the in the control buffered RETAIN data is irrecoverable.  The baudrate in MULTIPROG drifts away from the set baudrate: All possible baudrates : 9600 , 19200 , 38400 and 57600 single set and try to got online with MULTIPROG. Changed baudrates are active in the resource. In the service information downloadSI 06007 und downloadSI 08003 further advices can be found for the opeation condition.

No permanent green LED NET or LED MOD is being shown on the control unit .

  • Is one of the LEDS red or is it blinking red?  Then:
    • Check the fieldbus cableing and the operating condition of the other fieldbus members.
    • Check the set baudrates of all fieldbus members.

  • The LED NET is blinking green it is signalising the operating conditiono "Pre-Operational".
    • That is the normal condition of the CAN net after turning on.
    • If the NMT Manager turns the CAN net iin the operating condition „Operational", the NET LED turns to a continous light.
    • In the operating condition "Pre-Operational"  the SDO communication is possible.

Further advices can be found on the handbook of the contol unit and 32215248 Iniation fieldbus systems.

No operating system upadte possible on the control unit MCS or XCS20

The operating system is in a intern FLASH storage fo the control unit. A operating system update is possible by the serial interface with a PC and a terminal programfor example with a hyperterminal. Befor a operating system update the service hotline  is open for question. The necessary files fo a operating system update are available there too.
