The All-rounder: Schleicher Industrial Controllers in Liebherr’s MK 80 Mobile Crane
Berlin: The question was how to combine the flexibility and speed of a mobile crane with the functionality of a powerful slewing tower crane. Liebherr provides the answer with the new MK 80 mobile construction crane. You construct a folding crane with a maximum jib length of 42 metres and a maximum hook height of 48 metres, mount the whole thing on a special vehicle with individually steered axles, and add a controller that can unfold and erect the crane almost automatically in just a few minutes. A Family Business
Liebherr was founded in 1949 by Hans Liebherr. The huge success of its first easily assembled, low-cost mobile slewing tower crane set the company on the road to success.
